Born in Malaysia of Chinese descent in 1971, Ian Teh is presently based in Beijing and London. He joined the prestigious photo agency VU in 2001. Self-trained and independent, he has worked for a variety of international publications such as Time and Newsweek. His artistic creativity stems from his interest in social, environmental and political issues. Currently he is working on a long term project on the coal industry in China.
