Born in Jinhua, Zhejiang in 1963, Zhang Jie graduated from the School of Journalism and Communications, Renmin University in China. He is a member of the Photojournalist Society of China and the China Photographers’ Association. His major works include, ”Coal Transporters of Beijing,” “Uncured Pain,” and “Gone from Children and Wife.” He has been working professionally as a photographer in Beijing since 1992.
